PHL Consulate General in Dubai Lauds Filipino Community in Dubai; Urges Them to Reach Greater Heights

02 March 2018 DUBAI – Philippine Consul General in Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes led the turn over ceremony and thanskgiving of the Leadership of the Filipino Community at the Philippine Consulate Grounds on February 23. The Filipino Community partnered with the Philippine Consulate General to stage the Philippine Independence Day Celebration in May and the Bayanihan Festival in December. Both events were held at the World Trade Center of Dubai and attracted over 23,000 attendees each.

The Consul General commended the community for uniting and collaborating to come up with Filipino community events that celebrating culture, heritage, art, and history. He urged the leadership to focus on the vision of a community that is united, productive, and confident of building a next generation of Overseas Filipinos who will shape an admirable narrative of PHilippine culture. He challenged them to continue working towards surpassing their achievements. END
