2018 Ambassadors’ Tour Launched in New York

02 March 2018 NEW YORK – The Philippine Consulate General in New York launched this year’s Ambassador’s Tour during the Filipino community Appreciation Night at the Philippine Center in New York on 28 February.

Tourism Representative in New York Susan Del Mundo said that the Ambassadors’ Tour (formerly the Ambassadors’, Consuls General, and Tourism Directors Tour) is an opportunity for the Filipino-American community to revisit the homeland, and share with the younger generation the beauty of the Philippines. She gave the guests a glimpse of the tour itinerary this year that will bring the delegates to different sites in Manila, Bohol, and Cebu from 8 – 15 July.

Consul General Theresa Dizon-De Vega invited the guests to participate in the tour, recalling the 2017 delegation’s many memorable moments while visiting Manila and Davao. She added that she looks forward to welcoming the New York contingent during their outing and hopes to meet them in Manila.

Before screening the teaser for this year’s tour, highlights of last year’s tour coordinated by the Philippine Consulate General in New York was shown during the program to the delight of the audience, some of whom were part of the trip. END
