PHL Consulate General in Dubai Joins the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers – UAE Chapter at 1st Quarter Meet
05 March 2018, DUBAI — The Philippine Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers – UAE Chapter held their first quarterly event for the year at Millennium Airport Hotel in Dubai on 02 March 2018. The theme the chose for the said gathering was: Embracing Global Challenges through Sustainable Energy Practices. The event drew over 200 members from all over the UAE and some coming from Saudi Arabia. During the event, IIEE welcomed the latest batch of UAE chapter members who have recently been conferred by the Board of Electrical Engineers (BEE) of the Philippine Regulatory Commission (PRC) their Professional Electrical Engineers degree. The IIEE UAE Chapter actively assists their members in fulfilling their requirements to earn the PEE degree. Mr. Francis Magpile, Chair of the BEE-PRC gave the group a briefing on the Road Map for ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineers as well as seminar of a technical field. There was also a lecture on the Philippine Deputy Consul General in Dubai Renato N. Dueñas, Jr., in his remarks, commended the group for its efforts in providing opportunities for their members to continually upgrade their skills and expertise. He urged the officers and members of the IIEE UAE Chapter to maintain the very high regard that people in the Middle East have for them and continue reaching for excellence. He also encouraged the group’s members to take pride in their abilities but also consider their role in the country’s development while they work abroad and when they decide to return to the Philippines in the future.
