PHL Embassy in Dhaka Meets with Bangladesh’s Shilpakala Academy Secretary

05 March 2018 DHAKE – The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh represented by Third Secretary Ms. LV de Guzman and Cultural Officer Ms. Lauren Arce, called on the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Secretary Mr. Zihangir Hossain Chowdhury on February 22.
The Embassy called on Secretary Chowdhury to strengthen friendly links between the Philippines and the Academy, as well as to discuss future collaborations including the possibility of a film festival and a workshop/performance featuring Philippine dances, to be held at the Shilpakala Academy theaters and auditoriums. The Shilpakala Academy, established through an act of Parliament in 1974 as a statutory organization under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, is a renowned and respected national academy of fine and performing arts in Bangladesh.
