PHL Embassy in Lisbon Participates in Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa 2018

05 March 2018 LISBON – As part of its tourism promotions activities, the Philippine Embassy in Lisbon participated in Portugal´s biggest annual international tourism fair, Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa (BTL) 2018 at Feira International de Lisboa located in Parque das Naçoes in Lisbon. The tourism fair will be held from 28 February 2018 to March 04 2018.
This is the fifth year that the Philippine Embassy in Lisbon has participated in partnership with Portuguese tour operator Quadrante Viagens. According to statistical data from the Philippine Department of Tourism, tourist arrivals from Portugal has significantly increased when compared to the previous year’s figures by 14.88% in 2014, 22.62% in 2015, 35.95% in 2016 and by 39.58% in 2017. The consistent yearly increase in tourist arrivals shows that the Philippines is becoming a choice tourist and holiday destination among the Portuguese.
The Embassy has actively promoted Philippine tourism through various tourism seminars in Portugal. END
