PHL Consulate General in Milan Holds Its First Consular Outreach in Turin, Italy

MILAN CONSUL OUTREACH

06 March 2018 MILAN – The Philippine Consulate General in Milan conducted its first mobile consular service (MCS) for the year 2018 on March 03 to 04 in Turin, Italy held at the Chiesa di San Giovanni Evangelista Corso Vittorio Emanuele II No. 13.

Notwithstanding near frigid conditions, Filipinos still trooped to the venue. In total, the MCS team rendered a total of 486 consular services including 386 passport applications during the two-day activity. Representatives of POLO/OWWA Milan, as well as Pag-IBIG Fund and SSS joined service on March 04. The MCS Team also provided advice and counseling to Filipino nationals, as well as organized a showing of Filipino films during the two-day activity.

This MCS in Turin is one of three activities programmed by Post in the Piemonte Valle d’ Aosta region and one of 18 for the year 2018 in Post’s jurisdiction outside of Milan in northern Italy.

The activity in Turin was organized in close collaboration with the Federation of Filipino Associations in Piemonte (FEDFAP) and the Filipino Chaplaincy in Turin.
