Consulate General Promotes PH as Prime Tourism, Mice Destination in HK
14 March 2018 HONG KONG — Philippine Consul General Antonio A. Morales (right) met with top Hong Kong officials and industry leaders to promote the Philippines as a prime tourist and MICE destination at the Hong Kong Travel Agent Owners Association’s (HKTAOA) Spring Dinner on 7 March 2018 at the Metropole Restaurant in Admiralty. HKTAOA President, Mr. Freddie Yip (left) warmly welcomed Consul General Morales and was grateful for his presence during the event. Consul General Morales told organizers, led by HKTAOA President, Mr. Freddie Yip, of rising inbound figures from Hong Kong to the Philippines for the first quarter of this year thanks to the increase in cruise ships to Manila and beaches like Boracay thanks to passengers from the Pearl River Delta area. The Spring Dinner was also attended by HK Undersecretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Dr. Bernard Chan; Legislative Council Member, Ms. Regina Ip; and members of the consular corps.
