PH-CZ 1st Business Forum boosts Philippine Economic Diplomacy in Czechia

19 March 2018 PRAGUE – The Philippine Embassy in Prague organized a Business Forum on Trade and Investments in the Philippines jointly with the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, which hosted the Forum at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Na Frantisku 32, Prague 1.
DTI Undersecretary Rowel Barba and Trade Counsellor Althea Antonio were resource speakers at the seminar which was held under the auspices of Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade Deputy Minister Vladimir Bartl. The main topics were the development of business cooperation specially in the field of trade and investment in the energy, environment and tourism sectors. The Czech work visas for 1,000 Filipino workers annually introduced this year was also discussed.
The seminar was attended by about thirty (30) Czech entrepreneurs. It provided the opportunity to expand bilateral cooperation between the Philippines and Czech Republic and is a continuation of the activities under the Philippine-Czech Economic Cooperation Agreement which was signed in Manila in July 2017.
The joint consultation on the level of Deputy Ministers is being planned on the 3rd quarter of the year in Manila.
