PHL Consul General in HK Meets with Consuls General of Myanmar, Angola, and Germany
19 March 2018 — Philippine Consul General Antonio A. Morales receives new Myanmar Consul General Myat Thuzar Than (center left), who assumed her post early this month, on a courtesy call at the Philippine Consulate General in Admiralty on 14 March 2018. The two consuls general, who have known each oether during their previous assignment in Singapore, compared notes about conditions for foreign domestic helpers in Hong Kong. Also in the photo are Myanmar Counsellor Phyo Thu Zar Aung and Philippine Deputy Consul General Roderico C. Atienza.
Philippine Consul General Antonio A. Morales discussed trade prospects with Hong Kong, especially following the signing of the ASEAN-Hong Kong Free Trade Agreement, during his courtesy call on German Consul General Dieter Lamlé on 20 February 2018. Consul General Lamlé expressed his delight when talking about the Philippines, having visited the country in 2017 prior to his posting in Hong Kong.
Philippine Consul General Antonio A. Morales thanks Angolan Consul General Cupertino Gourgel for promoting the Philippines as a tourist destination during Consul General Morales’ courtesy call on the latter in late February 2018. Consul General Gourgel has participated several times in the consular corps familiarization tours to the Philippines organized by the Philippine Consulate General. Both consuls general also discussed trade and investment opportunities, especially vis-à-vis Hong Kong and mainland China.
