Congen De Borja Attends UAP Guam’s Induction Ceremony

23 March 2018 AGANA – Consul General Marciano R. De Borja attended the Induction Ceremony of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), Guam Chapter as special guest and keynote speaker on March 17 at the Westin Resort, Tumon, Guam.

In his brief message, Consul General De Borja lauded UAP’s contribution to nation-building and uplifting the image of the Filipino architects not just in the Philippines but more significantly abroad. He also heaped praises to one of UAP’s Guam-based members who designed the newly-built residence of the Consul General in Guam. He commended the Filipino architects’ talent for combining aesthetic design with functionality. In conclusion, ConGen De Borja urged UAP members, specifically the UAP Guam Chapter being the newest chapter overseas, to live up to the name of their organization, that is, to remain ‘united’. He also pledged the Consulate’s readiness to assist and support the group in its endeavours.

Also gracing the occasion were UAP’s past and current National Presidents Arch. Rozanno Rosal and Arch. Guillermo Hisancha, respectively. Arch. Hisancha administered the induction of chartered and new members of UAP Guam. Arch. Hisancha, in his remarks, highlighted the many accomplishments and recognitions that UAP achieved during his incumbency.

During the program, the members in attendance also elected a new set of officers for 2018-2019. END
