PHL Tennis Star Marian Jade Capadocia Bags Women’s Doubles Title in the 2018 Bahrain ITF Futures Tennis Tournament

27 March 2018 MANAMA — Philippine tennis player Marian Jade Capadocia made Filipinos in Bahrain proud after winning the Championship in the Women’s Doubles of the 2018 Bahrain ITF Futures Tennis Tournament. Capadocia with her doubles partner, Fatma Al Nabhani of Oman, upset the top seeded pair of Valeria Bhunu of Zimbabwe and Emily Webley-Smith of Great Britain in straight sets with a score of 7-5, 6-2.
Other PHL players who participated in the tournament include the Philippines’ top-ranked Francis Casey Alcantara, Jeson Petrombon, Jan Godfrey Seno, and Janji Soquino. Both Petrombon and Capadocia reached the second round of the men’s and women’s singles categories, respectively. The tournament was held at the Bahrain Tennis Club in Juffair, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. END
