Filipinos in Sweden Explore Entrepreneurship Prospects in the Philippines

27 March 2018 STOCKHOLM — The Philippine Embassy in Oslo supports the activity of the Department of Trade and Industry in promoting business and entrepreneurship in the Philippines to Filipinos in Sweden. The Philippine Government’s TNK 2017-2022 Initiative (Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan) aims to spur an entrepreneurial revolution in the country and encourage the formalization and growth of micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises, including by encouraging the participation of the Filipinos overseas in employment and business generation in the Philippines.  At left (standing, in black) is Undersecretary of Trade Rowel Barba (Management Services) who engaged in a dialogue the Filipino community leaders in Stockholm, Sweden, with the objective of spreading the good news on enhanced entrepreneurial assistance available to Filipinos, including through the chain of the more than two hundred “Negosyo Centers” nationwide and TNK caravans and fairs focusing on the most profitable sectors of the Philippine economy.
