PHL Embassy in Dhaka Calls On International Organization for Migration - Maldives

02 April 2018 DHAKA — The officers of the Philippine Embassy in Dhaka with Philippine Honorary Consul to Maldives called on the International Organization for Migration (IOM) – Maldives on February 28.

IOM-Maldives is coordinating with the Maldives Immigration and Maldives Ministry of Economic Development in handling the migration profile and human trafficking issues in Maldives. Dhaka PE and IOM-MV discussed parameters and programs related to trafficking for the protection of the Filipinos in Maldives.

The meeting was held as part of the Embassy’s ATN activities for CY 2018, in support of the Department’s targets and goals in relation to the DFA’s ATN program. END
