PHL Consulate General in Dubai Provides Assistance to Over 2,500 Filipinos in Distress

03 April 2018 DUBAI – The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai provided more than 2,500 Assistance-to-Nationals services to Filipinos in distress for the month of March 2018. Of this figure, the Consulate visited some 12 Overseas Filipinos currently admitted in various hospitals around Dubai and the Northern Emirates and around 30 in the police detention centers and central jail.

Almost 50 Filipinos also availed of the Consulate’s free legal services. Sara Advocates provides free consultations for Filipinos seeking legal advice and representation.

The Consulate’s lean 8-man team endeavors to reach out to the more than half a million Filipinos in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Consul General Paul Raymund P. Cortes has always assured Overseas Filipinos that the Consulate will always prioritize responding to pleas of nationals in distress. END
