PHL Ambassador Pays Farewell Call On Indonesian Foreign Minister

03 April 2018 JAKARTA — Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Maria Lumen B. Isleta paid a farewell courtesy call on Her Excellency Retno LP Marsudi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia on March 22.
During the call, Ambassador Isleta and Minister Marsudi agreed that relations between the two countries have remained strong throughout the Ambassador’s stint in Indonesia, citing the successful conduct of the State Visits of President Rodrigo Duterte to Indonesia in 2016 and President Joko Widodo to the Philippines in 2015 and 2017, as well as the new areas of cooperation that the two countries are currently exploring, particularly, on Islamic education, security (counter-terrorism), maritime, and consular assistance.
Minister Marsudi thanked Ambassador Isleta for her efforts in strengthening PH-Indonesia relations throughout her tenure. END
