PHL Consulate in Sydney Holds Leadership Excellence Talk and Thanksgiving Gathering for Filipino Community

03 April 2018 SYDNEY – An inspiring, substantive talk by renowned speaker Francis Kong capped an evening of thanks and appreciation organized by the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney for the Filipino Community on March 27.

Mr. Kong, one of the Philippines’ most awarded and sought after lecturers and business consultants, spoke at length on the core themes of excellence and leadership, as well as on the country’s economic, political and social outlook. 

The talk was very well received by the gathering of community leaders and volunteers who had partnered with the Consulate earlier in the month towards the successful participation of the Philippines at the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit and the town hall meeting of Secretary of Foreign Affairs Alan Peter Cayetano with the Filipino Community in Sydney.

At the conclusion of the event, acting Head of Post Consul Melanie Rita B. Diano and Consul Emmanuel Donato K. Guzman gave Certificates of Appreciation to the Fil-com guests and personally thanked them for their continued cooperation and assistance to the Consulate.  

Mr. Kong likewise took the opportunity to encourage the community to support the Consulate and to work with each other for the benefit of the country. “Think of all that we can achieve if we always worked as one,” Mr. Kong said. END
