PHL Consulate General in Dubai Leads Opening of PHL Pavilion at Index Dubai
03 April 2018 DUBAI – The Philippine Consul General in Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes and Dr. Yasmin Cortes, spouse of the Consul General, along with were Trade Attaché Eric Elnar and Vice Consul Rowena P. Daquipil of the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi, led the Opening of the Philippine Pavilion at the 2018 Index Exhibit held at Dubai's World Trade Center. Some 10 Philippine companies participated in the Exhibit led by Anna Marie Alzona, Officer in Charge of the Home and Fashion Lifestyle of the Consumer Business Department of CITEM/DTI. Among those joining the PH delegation include Betis Crafts, Arnel Papa Fashion Accessories, and Pete Delantar of Nature's Legacy.
Index is an annual event that attracts many exhibitors from around the world to showcase their products in Dubai, the region’s center for trade. It aims to showcase the 6 following sectors: Architecture and Design City, Accessories and Homeware, Cabinets Closets and Storage, Furniture and Furnishings, Lighting and Technology, and Sleep and Textile.
The Philippine exhibitors hoped to match with possible buyers in Dubai during the 5-day event. END
