PHL Consulate General in San Francisco Attend Lecture on Pag-IBIG Benefits for PHL Government Employees
03 April 2018 SAN FRANCISCO – The Pag-IBIG representative to Toronto, Canada, Ms. Elizabeth Borres, visited the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco on March 22, to brief personnel of the Consulate and its attached agencies about Pag-IBIG services, benefits, and loan programs.
Ms. Borres discussed the benefits of saving with Pag-IBIG fund which is government guaranteed, as opposed to savings with other banks, has a higher yield of interest and has no withholding tax compared to 20% tax and other charges of private banks.
She also briefed the personnel about the benefits of signing up with the Pag-IBIG Savings Modified Pag-IBIG 2 (MP2), wherein its members enjoy higher dividend earnings, tax-free, a 5-year maturity period, government guaranteed contributions and earnings, flexible dividend rates but always higher than Pag-IBIG I, and a minimum contribution of Php 500 per month.
