PH, Qatar Explore Cooperation in the Transport Sector

06 April 2018 DOHA —  Philippine Ambassador to Qatar Alan L. Timbayan called on His Excellency Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Minister of Transportation and Communication (MOTC) of the State of Qatar on April 02. 

During the meeting, the two officials discussed possible cooperation between the Philippines and Qatar in the transport sector.

Minister Sulaiti expressed his desire to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Hamad Port and its counterpart agency in the Philippines, which he envisions to open more opportunities in trade and shipping from both sides. 

The two officials also discussed the launching of two direct fights of Qatar Airways from Doha to Davao City and Doha to Cebu City this year. END
