League of the San Francisco Consular Corps Witnesses Birth of Elephant Seals at Año Nuevo State Park
06 April 2018 SAN FRANCISCO — The League of the San Francisco Consular Corps (LSFCC), headed by Mrs. Mariza Bensurto, visited Año Nuevo State Park on March 13 to witness the birth of elephant seals in the northern coast of California.
The event is part of LSFCC’s efforts to promote social, cultural and intellectual exchanges, in an effort to deepen one’s appreciation for the environment and to strengthen interpersonal connections.
Park rangers facilitated the activity and briefed the group on the birthing cycle of elephant seals and their niche in nature.
In line with the Consulate’s movement to Spark*Connect*Empower* the Filipino-American Community, the Philippine delegation was in full support to interact and network with members of the consular corps. END
