Filipino Community in Myanmar Celebrates Pinoy Fiesta
Celebration of the Holy Eucharist with the Filipino Community in Myanmar.
06 April 2018 YANGON – Around 100 members of the Filipino Community in Myanmar celebrated Easter Sunday with an event called Pinoy Fiesta at the Philippine Embassy Grounds on April 01.
Pinoy Fiesta opened with the celebration of the Holy Mass presided by Fr. Saw Peter TunTun. Philippine Ambassador to Myanmar Eduardo E. Kapunan, Jr., in his Inspirational Message, expressed his delight that the Filipino Community in Myanmar are supportive of Embassy projects and are cooperative with each other. He also congratulated Pilipinas.mm officials for organizing the event which led the way for Filipinos to be gathered again, and encouraged them to go further and support their fellow mga kababayan.
The event also included a turnover of donations to the Myo Myanmar Youth Development Center, awarding ceremonies for the basketball tournament winners and games from the aforementioned orphanage. There were also food booths selling affordable Pinoy lunch meals from Ruben’s Kitchen, Rice Stop and My Adobo Plus with giveaways from Supreme Noodles, Sunkist Juices and Smart. END
