PHL Embassy in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. Participates in the ASEAN Night Market

Heads of ASEAN Embassies and officers of the ASEAN Ladies’ Circle (ALC) – Abu Dhabi lead the ASEAN Night Market held at the Marina Square, Reem Island, Abu Dhabi on April 06. 11 April 2018 ABU DHABI – The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) participated in the ASEAN Night Market at the Marina Square, Reem Island, Abu Dhabi on 06 April.

The event was jointly organized by the ASEAN Committee in Abu Dhabi (ACAD), currently chaired by Malaysia, and the ASEAN Ladies’ Circle (ALC) – Abu Dhabi, to introduce ASEAN cuisines to the community in Abu Dhabi.

Philippine participation was headed by Madame Yoko Ramos-Vingno, Chair of the Philippine Ladies Circle (PLC) Abu Dhabi and Co-Chair of the ALC – Abu Dhabi. The event was also participated by Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

The Philippine stall featured Chickenjoy and spaghetti by Jollibee Mushrif Mall Branch, and beef batchoy, empanada and puto cheese by Greg’s Special La Paz Batchoy.  Clothing and Philippine-made crafts brought by PLC Abu Dhabi honorary members Jacqueline Villamer-Awal and Gay Marie Jumuad were also on display.

On behalf of Philippine Ambassador to UAE Constancio R. Vingno Jr., Madame Vingno expressed her congratulations to ACAD and ALC Abu Dhabi, as well as the ACAD Working Group, for a successful event.  She also thanked the Philippine food and craft exhibitors, PLC honorary members, Embassy officers and staff, officers of the Bayanihan Council and leaders of various Filipino organizations in Abu Dhabi, for the support and participation in the event.
