PHL Consulate General in Xiamen Welcomes National Parks Development Committee

11 April 2018 XIAMEN — The Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen welcomed the officials from the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) led by its Executive Director Penelope D. Belmonte at the Bulwagang Bagumbayan/Heroes Hall on March 20.
Among the members of the delegation were Atty. Paul Richard A. Saberon, Chief of Staff to the Executive Director; Ms. Virginia V. Arnold, Chief, Cultural & Public Affairs Division; Ms. Shiela Rose C. Javier, Chief, Park Permit Section and OIC of Paco Park, and Mr. Rene Robles, Visual Artist/Consultant. Ms. Maria Dominic D. Belmonte, Administrative Management Assistant, National Library of the Philippines, also joined the delegation.
The visit of the NPDC officials was under the initiative of the Consulate General to observe best practices in park and sustainable tourism development, and forge cooperation with its institutional counterparts in Xiamen and Jinjiang cities as part of its cultural and economic diplomacy programs.
Consul General Flores expressed appreciation to Executive Director Belmonte and the NPDC delegation for their valuable contribution to the promotion of Philippines’ national parks as well as pursuing international linkages and cooperation with its counterparts. END
