PHL Traditional Games on Exhibit at Poland’s Museum of Asia and the Pacific

12 April 2018 WARSAW — Philippine traditional game materials such as sipa, sungka and trumpo are currently on exhibit in Warsaw’s Museum of Asia and the Pacific from 06 April to 30 September 2018. Philippine Embassy Cultural Officer Ms. Imelda de Joya explained to the exhibit coordinator Mr. Tomasz Madej how the games of sungka, sipa and trumpo are being played.
On behalf of the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw, Poland Ms. de Joya also donated a book to the Museum entitled “A Study of Philippine Games” authored by Ms. Mellie Landicho Lopez.
Philippine traditional games were also featured in the Museum’s publication entitled “Zabawa z Kultura: Tradycyjne Zabawy i Gry Azji” (Fun with Culture: Traditional Games and Asian Games). END
