09 December 2013 – The Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou donated books to the Shenzhen Library on November 28 as part of the 2012-2013 Philippines-China Years of Friendly Exchanges.  Consul General Raly L. Tejada handed the books to Mr. Wang Lin, Associate Librarian of the Shenzhen Library. 

Reading materials on Philippine culture, tourism and investments, and Philippines-China relations were provided by the Consulate General to the Shenzhen Library upon the latter’s request.  The donated books and other reading materials will be included in the collection of the Library’s Center for ASEAN Information.
Ms. Ma Jie, Head of General Office, accompanied Consul General Tejada on a tour of the library.  During the visit, the Consulate learned that three Chinese language newspapers published in the Philippines, particularly in Binondo, are available at the library for general circulation, namely: World News, Chinese Commercial News, and United Daily News.
