09 December 2013 – The Philippine Embassy in Muscat conducted mobile consular services in Salalah, the second largest city in Oman and home to thousands of overseas Filipino workers, on November 29.
Third Secretary and Vice Consul Jose L. Garcia III headed the visiting consular team, which also included Welfare Officer Sylvia C. Tolentino, and Ms. Elline C. Padlan and Ms. Elaine Justine L. Aldaya from the Embassy’s consular unit. Services were conducted at Haffa House, located in the central area of the city.
Mr. Theo Santy, President of FILCOM Salalah expressed his gratitude to the visiting Embassy team saying that a number of Filipinos have been waiting for this visit to renew their passports and to raise other concerns with the Embassy without having to travel to Muscat.
“Once again, the Filipino Community of Salalah was benefited by the Consular Outreach by the Philippine Embassy in Muscat. FILCOM Salalah would like to thank our Philippine Embassy officials for continuing the outreach program and looks forward for the next schedule in the coming year,” Santy said. END
