PHL Consulate General in Dubai Features Emerging Filipino Artists at Whimsy Wonders of Mind, the Ji Jarder’s Exhibit

13 April 2018 DUBAI — The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates hosted the the Ji Jarder’s Exhibit, titled “Whimsy Wonders of Mind” at the Philippine Consulate General grounds on April 06. The exhibit is part of the Consulate General's quarterly program to feature emerging overseas Filipino artists.

The Consulate General will feature a new artist who hails from Bacolod for Ji Jarder’s premier exhibit from April  to July 2018.

Philippine Consul General to Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes stressed the Consulate General's strong push for the recognition of the talent and skill of overseas Filipinos and urged everyone to consider the Consulate as a refuge for all artistic pursuits of the migrant Filipino.

Thus far, the Consulate General has sponsored painting and photography exhibits, held song writing competitions, supported performances involving Filipino dance professionals in Dubai, undertaken film showings of Filipino independent films, and staged and collaborated with other groups on many other cultural presentations as part of its strategy to uplift the image of the Filipino not only for other ethnicities but also among fellow Filipinos.
