PH Consulate General in Milan Brings Consular Services to Bologna

MILAN 18 April 2018 — Consul General Irene Susan B. Natividad led a team from the Philippine Consulate General in Milan in conducting a mobile consular mission at Basilica Maria dei Servi in Bologna, Italy from 14-15 April.
Representatives of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office/Overseas Workers’ Welfare Office (POLO/OWWA) Milan, Social Security System (SSS) and Pag-IBIG Fund joined the eight-man team from the Consulate General to serve Filipinos in Bologna and those who came from other provinces in Italy’s Emilia Romagna region.
The team rendered a total of 554 consular services including 333 passport-related transactions during the course of the two-day activity. POLO/OWWA Milan, SSS and Pag-IBIG Fund also attended to hundreds of clients.
In addition to regular services, the MCS team provided advice and counselling to Filipino nationals. On Sunday, 15 April, Consul General Natividad met with leaders of the Filipino Community to discuss the Filipino Community’s concerns.
The mobile consular mission in Bologna is the third of its kind in 2018 following the missions in Turin on 03-04 March and Modena on 17-18 March.
