Philippines, Suriname Commit to Strengthen Ties
BRASILIA 20 April 2018 — Newly arrived Philippine Ambassador to Brazil Marichu Mauro called on the Ambassador of Suriname Marlon Mohamed Hoesein to convey the assurance and support of the Philippine government for the continued good relations between the two countries. Ambassador Mauro took the opportunity to thank the government of Suriname for the agreement of Ambassador Mauro as concurrent Ambassador to Suriname. The two officials discussed possible areas of cooperation such as education, culture and labor. They committed to engage in activities that will strengthen Philippines and Suriname bilateral relations. The Philippine and Suriname established diplomatic relations on 12 December 1997. END
