PH Embassy in Amman Receives PH Women’s National Football Team

Philippine Women’s National Football Team calls on Ambassador Junever Mahilum-West at the Philippine Embassy chancery on 11 April.

AMMAN 20 April 2018 – The Philippine Women’s National Football team, the Malditas, paid a courtesy call on Philippine Ambassador to Jordan Junever Mahilum-West at the Philippine Embassy in Amman on 11 April. The Malditas were accompanied by the Philippine Football Federation’s (PFF) Secretary General, Atty. Edwin B. Gastanes, who presented Ambassador Mahilum-West with a token of appreciation for her support.

The Malditas suffered a minor setback after the team’s loss to China on 09 April which ended with a final score of 0-3. The Malditas’ third and final match for the group stage of the tournament is against Thailand on 12 April. The Malditas will automatically qualify for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France if it wins the match against Thailand. END
