PH Embassy in Singapore Promotes PH Culture at SG Int’l Friendship Day

SINGAPORE 20 April 2018 – Consul Gonaranao B. Musor of the Philippine Embassy in Singapore talked about Philippine culture to a group of 900 primary school students from Stamford Primary School and Changkat Primary School on 04 April and 06 April, respectively, in celebration of International Friendship Day.

Consul Musor gave the students a glimpse of Philippine architecture, festivals, performing arts, food, sports, and tourist destinations.

He also discussed the role of the Philippine Embassy in strengthening the friendship between the Philippines and Singapore, and highlighted the upcoming 50th year of Philippines-Singapore ties next year.

The Embassy also set up a booth featuring the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage. 

The theme for this year’s International Friendship Day is “ASEAN 50”, with the aim of creating awareness among the Singaporean students on the importance of friendship among ASEAN countries. END
