PH Consulate General Conducts Protocol, Event Management and Etiquette Seminar
Consulate General personnel attend Seminar on Protocol, Events Management and Etiquette conducted by Mr. Ronilo R. Ferrer at the Philippine Center Building on 11 April 2018.
SAN FRANCISCO 23 April 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco conducted a seminar on Protocol, Events Management and Etiquette for its officers, staff and members of its attached agencies at the Social Hall of the Philippine Center Building on 11 April as part of its continued professional training program for personnel and in line with its Spark*Connect*Empower imitative.
Mr. Ronilo R. Ferrer, former Director for Operations, Office of Presidential Protocol at the Office of the President, Malacañang, was the guest lecturer. He has served in the Office of Presidential Protocol in the Philippines under three Presidents – Fidel V. Ramos, Joseph E. Estrada and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
In the lecture, Mr. Ferrer discussed various topics regarding protocol such as order of precedence, proper procedures to be followed during hosting events and important principles to be remembered before, during and after Consulate-sponsored events. The participants were also given guidelines on proper etiquette when interacting with the VIPs during courtesy calls and other important events.
Mr. Ferrer also reminded all participants that once posted abroad, everyone is considered as a protocol officer. The session also included a comprehensive question and answer portion where participants were able to ask protocol and etiquette related questions to the guest speaker. END
