PH Consulate General in Sanfo Commemorates World Autism Day
SAN FRANCISCO 23 April 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco commemorated World Autism Awareness Month by holding a special flag-raising ceremony held at the Philippine Center Lobby on 02 April and hosting the Autism Hearts Foundation Exhibit, featuring the artwork of young adults within the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Deputy Consul General Raquel R. Solano (foremost right) and Autism Hearts Foundation President and Founder, Mrs. Erlinda Borromeo, opened the week-long exhibit on 09 April.
Autism Hearts Foundation works with persons with ASD through one of its programs, “art as therapy”. Naturally gifted painters have had their paintings featured in fashion shows in San Francisco and New York through Fashion and Art Autism Benefit (FAAB).
