PH Embassy in Warsaw Participates in Commemoration of Anzac Day
Philippine Ambassador to Poland Patricia Ann Paez and Polish soldier carrying the commemorative wreath from the Embassy of the Philippines walked towards the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
WARSAW 02 May 2018 — The Embassy of the Philippines in Warsaw participated in the commemoration of ANZAC Day which featured a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Plac Pilsudskiego in Warsaw on 25 April 2018.
Philippine Ambassador to Warsaw Ms. Patricia Ann V. Paez assisted by cultural officer Ms. Imelda de Joya, protocol officer/photographer Mr. Mariusz Dudszicki, and a soldier from the Polish Army laid a wreath of roses, in the yellow, red and blue colors of the Philippine flag, before the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Anzac Day commemorates the contribution and sacrifice of New Zealanders and Australians who had served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations; and acknowledges those who serve today. END
