PH Consulate General Participates in Various Events in Dubai

DUBAI 04 May 2018 – Philippine Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes (center) participates in PH-Asian Friendship Cup Opening on 06 April. The Consul General led the Opening Ceremonies to the Second Philippines-Asian Friendship Cup of 2018 at the Emirates English Speaking School in downtown Dubai on 06 April. Some 12 teams from 8 different countries participated in the football tournament, the only tournament organized by the Filipino community’s only football club.

The Consul General (seated, center) likewise participated in the First General Membership Assembly of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PMSE) UAE Chapter attended by some 150 PSME members on 06 April.

Consul General Cortes (second from right) led the Opening Ceremonies of Gerry’s Grill first UAE branch in downtown Dubai on 13 April. Some 100 members of the Filipino community joined the ceremonies, with members of the Gerry’s Grill International Board of Directors and the franchise owners of Gerry’s Grill GCC operations. Dubai branch is its second GCC outlet. The Doha Branch opened some years back.
