PH Envoy Receives IPAV Representatives

LISBON 10 May 2018 – Philippine Ambassador to Portugal Celia Anna M. Feria (second from left) receives Representatives of the Instituto Padre Antonio Viera (IPAV) on 03 May. IPAV is a Portuguese non-profit civic association recognized as a public utility organization (IPSS) and a Non-Governmental Organization for Development (NGDO). Its mission is the promotion of human dignity. It is a leader in social innovation and specializes in collaborative culture, promoting "unity in diversity", in Portugal and in the world. IPAV is a major proponent of the Ubuntu Bridge program whose aim is to promote and restore human dignity by empowering servant leaders. The IPAV representatives aim to promote the Ubuntu Leaders Academy by training young people with leadership potential from socially excluded environments to become servant leaders of their respective communities. The said training will use the Ubuntu method which is based on five essential pillars: self -knowledge, self- confidence, resilience, empathy and service. The program´s objective is to empower these young people to become agents of social transformation in their own communities and in the world (http://www.ubuntubridges.org).
