PH Consulate General Attends Lang-Ay Festival in Macau SAR

MACAU 10 May 2018 Consul General Lilybeth R. Deapera together with Labor Attaché Vivian F. Tornea and Cultural Officer Jocelyn A. Bianzon-Carbonell attended the Macau Lang-Ay Festival and the 10th Year Anniversary of the Mountain Province Philippines Association (MPPA) celebrations at the Sintra Amizade Square, Macau on Sunday, 29 April 2018.
Lang-Ay Festival in Macau is organized annually by the MPPA Macau Chapter headed by Engr. Generoso Doculan Jr. Around 400 participants from the Filipino Community were in attendance. A number of residents from Macau and tourists stopped by and watched the cultural presentations also.
The festival started with the parade showcasing the traditional costumes of "igorot" followed by the dance performances of each of the ten different cities under the Mountain Province. The highlight of the event is the attendance of its special guest speakers, Mr. James Po-oten and Mr. Johnson Bantog II, Mayors of the Cities of Sagada and Besao, respectively. END
