Embassy Holds 9th Consular Outreach in Reggio Calabria, Italy

Applicants line up for consular services provided by the consular team of the Philippine Embassy in Rome at the Parrocchia SS Fillippo e Giacomo in San Agostino in Reggio Calabria in southern Italy on 5-6 May 2018. The consular team completed a total of 600 service transactions.

ROME 10 May 2018 — The Philippine Embassy in Rome held its 9th consular outreach mission for the year in Reggio Calabria, southern Italy, which is home to almost 1,500 Filipinos on 05-06 May 2018.

The consular team completed a total of 600 transactions, most of which were related to applications for renewal of passports, overseas voter registration and services rendered by partner-agencies such as the Philippine Overseas Labor Office, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Social Security Services and Pag-IBIG.

Mr. Francesco Mortelitti, Philippine honorary consul based in Reggio Calabria, made his presence felt by providing notarial services and joining the meeting with the leaders of the Filipino community organizations in the area. END

Passport applicants wait for their turn for the capture of their biometric details as part of their passport application process at the consular outreach on 05-06 May 2018 in the city of Reggio Calabria. The consular team processed a total of 189 passport applications, of which seven (7) were those of the newborn.

Lawyer Francesco Mortelitti, the newly appointed Philippine honorary consul in Reggio Calabria, his wife and staff, join the consular outreach activity held in his area on 05-06 May 2018. Consul Mortelliti’s jurisdiction covers the provinces of Reggio Calabria and Messina, which host almost 3,000 Filipinos.
