Embassy Conducts Information Session on Entrepreneurship

OTTAWA 15 May 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, Canada receives the leaders of the Quebec Council on Philippines-Canada Business and Trade (QCPCBT), a Filipino community organization based in Montreal, and conducted an Information Session on Entrepreneurship at the Embassy’s Chancery on 08 May.
A brief presentation on the important steps in establishing a business in Quebec – from deciding on the nature of their business, choosing their target market, inviting and attracting investors, planning their finances, designing sales and marketing programs, hiring people, to registering their business to obtain permits and establish legal presence.
The Information Session is part of a series of Entrepreneurship Seminars being conducted by the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa to cultivate entrepreneurial spirit among the Filipino Diaspora in Canada. The Embassy recently held a similar session last month in Charlottetown, PEI and Moncton, NB.
Based on the 2016 Canada Census, there were 37,910 Filipinos in Quebec, almost 95% of whom are living and working in Montreal. END
