Embassy in Budapest Conducts Mobile Consular Outreach in Bulgaria

SOFIA 16 May 2018 – The Philippine Embassy, Budapest conducted a mobile consular outreach in Sofia, Bulgaria on 28 and 29 April. The consular outreach is a regular event undertaken by the Embassy in response to the needs for consular services of Filipino nationals in Bulgaria, some of whom are unable to travel to Budapest due to medical conditions and visa restrictions. Philippine Honorary Consul to Bulgaria Ognian Trajanov hosted and provided the venue for the consular outreach and logistical support to the Embassy team. Philippine Embassy in Budapest consular team provides consular services to Filipino nationals in Bulgaria. Consular services such as passport renewals, authentication, civil registration, and the overseas absentee voting registration were processed during the team’s visit. The Filipino community in Bulgaria is a growing community comprised mainly of women married to Bulgarian nationals. Most are homemakers but come from different educational backgrounds – a law graduate; architect; I.T. employee; wellness/beauty consultants/assistants. (Budapest PE photo)
