The meeting included a working luncheon with Ms. Wendy Cutler, Vice President and Managing Director of the Washington DC office of the Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI), and Ms. Lindsey Ford, ASPI Director for Political-Security Affairs.

The discussions revolved around ASPI’s initiative to come up with a white paper on ASEAN-US relations, along with practical recommendations on how to advance the strategic partnership following the 40th Anniversary of relations that was celebrated last year.

Mr. Alex Feldman, President and CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) also briefly joined the regular meeting to apprise the group of various upcoming USABC-related activities.

The ACW regularly engages in discussions on how to raise the profile of ASEAN in the US, both at government and private sector levels.
