Riyadh outreach in Jubail12 December 2013 – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh recently conducted its 29th Embassy on Wheels (EOW) consular outreach this time in Jubail, Eastern Province, serving a total of 456 consular transactions to the Filipino community there.

The nine-member Embassy team was led by Consul General Marshall Louis Alferez. The mission, which was held from December 6 to 7, processed 385 passport applications, 10 passport extensions, 59 notarials,  and 2 birth registrations. Forty-two (42) new passports were also released.

The team was augmented by volunteers from the Filipino community in Al Khobar.

Consul-General Alferez said that outreach missions are an opportunity to meet and interact with the Filipino community across the Kingdom, including in Jubail which is not frequently visited by the Embassy as its neighbor city Al Khobar. “It is often useful to meet with kababayan in their cities of residence so that the Embassy gets a good feel for their situation and the type of assistance they may require”, said Consul General Alferez.

He also reminded the community that the Embassy will have a 10-day passport service in Al Khobar for those who have been unable to obtain passport appointments this year. The service will run from December 8 to 12 and 15 to 19, 2013 at the Gulf Center Building, Al Khobar, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.

As part of the Embassy’s program to improve customer service, the outreach mission distributed client feedback forms to 380 clients, of which 352 responded. The results of the survey were as follows:
