HANOI 25 MAY 2018 — Philippine Ambassador to Vietnam Noel Servigon called on the Acting Chairman of the People's Committee, Mr. Tran Duc Quy and discussed opportunities for better interaction and further cooperation between Ha Giang province and the Philippines, particularly Benguet Province, its sister province. The provincial official also requested that there be more interaction on educational projects in view of the limited capabilities of the province.
Ha Giang is a mountainous province north of Hanoi, along the border with China, and is considered to be one of the poorest places in Vietnam. It has a small border trading post with China at Thanh Thuy.
Ambassador Servigon also met a Filipino English teacher in Ha Giang, Ms. Amor Envina Magno, who works in a language school. END
