TEL AVIV 07 June 2018 — Ambassador Neal Imperial met with Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce president Mr. Matan Vilnai on 30 May to discuss projects aimed at strengthening the bilateral trade between the Philippines and Israel, such as direct flights between the two countries.

“I believe that a direct flight between the Philippines and Israel would definitely lead to people-to-people exchanges that would boost not only two-way tourism, but just as importantly, bilateral trade between our two countries. The Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce will support the embassy in its mission to showcase the Philippines as a new business and investment partner for Israelis in Asia,” said Mr. Vilnai, who served as a former Ambassador of Israel to China.

“I look forward to a stronger partnership with the Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce under its new leadership. The Philippines is one of the best performing economies in Asia where Israelis can explore business and investment opportunities,” said Ambassador Neal Imperial. END
