Myanmar Students Play Patintero, Sing Bahay Kubo

YANGON 07 June 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Yangon conducted workshops on Philippine games and music for students of the Diplomatic School Yangon on 29 May 2018.
Third Secretary and Vice Consul Jan Michael B. Gomez taught traditional Philippine games like Patintero and Agawan ng Panyo, while Third Secretary and Vice Consul Stephanie Alexis Cruz taught the other group of students how to sing the Philippine National Anthem and Filipino folk songs such as “Bahay Kubo” and “Leron Leron Sinta.” About 40 students participated in the workshops.
Ambassador to Myanmar Eduardo E. Kapunan Jr. capped off the workshops by watching the performance of the Philippine music group.
The Philippine games and music workshops were part of the Philippine Embassy’s celebration of National Heritage Month. END
