New Honorary Consul in Sapporo, Japan Takes Oath

TOKYO 30 May 2018 – Philippine Ambassador to Japan Jose C. Laurel V administered the oath taking of Mr. Ken Luis Tobe as Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Sapporo, Japan. The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo.

Mr. Tobe succeeded his father who has served as Honorary Consul for 25 years until his retirement on 03 July 2017.

The Consulate of the Philippines in Sapporo with consular jurisdiction over Hokkaido Prefecture opened in 1992, and has since been represented by honorary consular officers.
