MOSCOW 05 June 2018 – Responding to the consular needs of Filipinos overseas is among the functions of our diplomatic missions abroad.

On 03 June 2018, the Philippine Embassy in Moscow, Russian Federation conducted an outreach mission in Yakutsk, the world’s second coldest city, bringing the Embassy’s consular and Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) services to 60 Filipinos living and working in the eastern Siberian city.

The outreach mission was conducted in coordination with the support and assistance of Fr. Marian Peciar and fellow Slovakian missionaries from the Salesians of Don Bosco.

Filipinos in Yakutsk were able to renew their passports, register as overseas voters for the 2019 National elections, apply for Embassy IDs, and avail of other services during the consular mission. The Embassy also conducted consultations with members of the Filipino community regarding various issues that affected Filipinos in the region.

This is the first consular outreach mission of the Embassy for 2018. Other upcoming outreach missions are planned for Astana and Almaty in Kazakhstan, and Yerevan in Armenia later this year. END
