PH Ambassador to Singapore Hosts Third Filipino Community Leaders’ Meeting

SINGAPORE 26 June 2018 — The Philippine Embassy in Singapore, in partnership with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), organized the Third Filipino Community Leaders’ Meeting on 20 May 2018 at the official residence of the Philippine Ambassador.

Ambassador to Singapore Joseph Del Mar Yap personally welcomed the leaders and members of the Filipino community. The Ambassador thanked all the volunteers and performers for the success of the Filipino community meeting with President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on 28 April 2018, when the President visited the city-state for the 32nd Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.  

The meeting commenced with the customary Kapihan with members of the Filipino community. This was followed by announcements and updates from Embassy officers and heads of the attached agencies on political, economic, consular, and labor developments affecting the Filipino community.

Various members of the community were then given an opportunity to make announcements of their upcoming events and activities. A networking lunch concluded the meeting. END
