PH Embassy, Knights of Rizal Commemorate Jose Rizal’s 157th Birth Anniversary in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI 27 June 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Knights of Rizal – Emarat Abu Dhabi Chapter (KOR-EADC) held a ceremony in commemoration of the 157th birth anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal at the Embassy hall on 19 June 2018.
The program started with a flower offering to the bust of Dr. Jose Rizal. It was followed by the singing of the Philippine national anthem, invocation, recitation of the Rizalist Code of Ethics, Rizalian Oath, and Pledge of the Flag, presentation of KOR-EADC officers and members, and fraternal sign.
Blesil D. Apduhan, KOR-EADC Acting Chapter Commander, delivered the welcome address. Charge d’ Affaires a.i. Rowena R. Pangilinan-Daquipil delivered a keynote speech.
Also in attendance were Third Secretaries and Vice Consuls Von Ryan G. Pangwi and Anna Marie Mae R. Guerra, KOR-EADC Ladies, and Filipino community leaders. END
