PH Embassy in Doha Holds Monthly Overseas Voting Registration Service in Mesaimeer
DOHA 27 June 2018 — The mobile outreach team of the Philippine Embassy in Doha, Qatar spearheaded Overseas Voting Registration (OVR) services, including SSS and Pag-IBIG processing, at the Religious Compound in Mesaimeer Area.
A total of 68 applicants registered for absentee voting, and around 165 availed of SSS and Pag-IBIG services and other inquiries during the outreach activity.
The monthly OVR services is conducted every third Friday (next schedule on 20 July) in collaboration with local organizations, and is part of the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to encourage all qualified Filipinos in Qatar to register and/or to re-activate their record as absentee voters and, at the same time, bring convenient and accessible services during the weekends and holiday.
Registration for the next National (Senatorial) Elections in May 2019 will be until 30 September 2018.
